The Kenda Manor has its roots in 1377 when the first landowners were already running a farm situated above the River Idrijca Valley. In the ancient village of Spodnja Idrija , which developed from 1156 onwards in the shelter of the local parish church "Marija na Skalci", influent and distinguished Kenda family encouraged economic and cultural development. Today, the magnificent former Kenda mansion has been beautifully renovated and revived to evoke the spirit of ancient times, and now it displays the rich tradition of its local surroundings with great pride and respect.
